A fulfilled life... |
April 7, 2013 |
Dear Titus,
Take heart and find comfort in this Bible verse:
There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven: a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot...
Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
Accept our heartfelt sympathy for your great loss. May the Almighty grant your father eternal rest!

On the demise of a brave lawyer |

Angeline Shushu and the Kids
We know what it takes to lose a loved one, especially a parent but you know we're all just part of an enlarged relay team. Pa Edjua has only just handed the baton and so the race continues. We all are very proud that at no time did he stumble nor did he falter when the baton was being received. He deserves his well - deserved rest. Epi also remembers pa as a brave grand dad.

Ange,
Papa was great to you all his kids and even to those of us who werent his blood. He will be missed and he will always be in our prayers. He built a very strong family and morals in all of us.... May His soul rest in peace and by the side of God. My condolences to all the Edjua Family.
Uncle Lawyer or Namesake (as I fondly called you)
Little did I know that when you spoke on the 23rd of Feb 2013 in Kendem at PAPA's Funeral mass, you were actually telling us goodbye. In your very own special way you left the scene which is this world without any fuss. Exactly one month after that day (Sat 23rd Feb 2013 to Sat 23rd MAr 2013) you exited this stage. I take comfort even though we a griieving that you have reunited with your friends/brothers (Pa Augusitne Bessong and Pa Ben Tarh) and you guys are now dancing your Belle SUmbu dances and catching up. In your very wise ways you left just in time attend Papa's Birthday. I can only imagine how eventful the birthday party was. I also take comfort in the fact that there is another person up there watching over us left here on earth and who will intercede for us.
How can we say thank you for a life full of care? How can we say thank you for a life lived to the fullest. How can we even begin to say thank you for all the love shown to us? I guess we can only say A BIG THANK YOU and ask that you journey safely and continue to intercede and watch over us as you have always done. Do not worry about Mama who is still with us. we will not abandone her. we will at every opportunity go down to Mamfe and see her and spend time with her. mam will be in the safe hands and hopefully for many more years with us.
Greet Pa Tarh, Ma Tarh, Justice Bawak, Uncle Ojong Ayuk, Mr Augustine Besong, Uncle Paul Ebai, Aunty Irene, and all the others who have gone ahead. Tell them we are here and doing our best to continue the good projects they started.
As my friends said and I quote " This year na year for Bayangi Papa dem. Dem don show we pepper" You guys left in cue because you knew we could take over the mantle and we will. Rest in Peace namesake!!!!

A Great Personality ... gone! |
April 5, 2013 |
The undeserved honor of trying to pass over a message from a great personality gone:
“My Wife, Children, Grandchildren, In-laws, Sisters, Brothers and Friends, if we understand that everything is a transition and I have had that much of this never long enough time with you, and you still have that much of the time, then the temporal pains of loving memories can be overcome by celebrating my mission accomplished. Celebrating by improving on the quality of life we have setup together and not perceiving my absence as a long-lived loss; for I am not worried leaving you behind, but proud having you as my real legacy. Things must happen for loving memories to live so that we stay forever united”.

“Yes, we too feel proud und secure knowing them”!

MY DEAREST TITUS,
I AM SOOOOOO VERY SORRY TO HEAR OF YOUR DAD'S PASSING. LIKE BROTHER AATSA SAID WE NEVER MET HIM BUT I HAVE HAD THE PRIVILEGE OF BEING IN YOUR GOOD COMPANY FOR CLOSE TO 30 YRS, NOT FORGETTING THAT YOU ARE MY OWN PERSONAL COUNSEL BUT SERIOUSLY I HAVE MET YOUR SIBLINGS AND THEIR SPOUSES AND GOING THROUGH THESE PHOTOS, I CAN SEE YOU COME FROM A PRETTY GOOD STOCK, ONE FULL OF LOVE AND FAMILIARITY . I CAN ALSO TELL YOU HAVE HAD SOME WONDERFUL TIMES WITH YOUR MOM AND DAD SO MY DEAR, TAKE HEART. MAY THE SPIRIT OF OUR LORD BLESS, KEEP AND PROTECT YOUR ENTIRE FAMILY, ESPECIALLY AS YOU MAKE THE JOURNIES TO PUT PAPA IN HIS FINAL RESTING PLACE AND MAY HE GRANT TO YOUR DEAR MAMA THE COURAGE AND STRENGTH TO SEND OFF HER BEST FRIEND. IT SHALL BE WELL!

Great Men Continue Falling.... |
April 4, 2013 |
Dear Titus,
I never knew your dad. Of course I heard about him. I never met your siblings, but again I have heard about them. If that is all to go by, your dad did a great job. You should be proud of him and let him take a well deserved rest. Accept our sincere condolences beginning from my wife Eleanor nee Ojong Eta who knew him well, and our kids, Sharis and Eric Atogho.
